The new Web site will be managed by Assistant Athletic Director/Sports Information Director Geoff Sherman, Ph.D., with assistance and support from the University Marketing/Communications office at Marian University.
"I am very proud of our new site," said Sherman. "It is exactly what we were looking for in terms of dynamic content and the opportunity for aggressive updates and the utilization of new media. Many people were involved in this process and I thank every one of them for the support as well as the group at eSolution Architects for a fantastic design. We are very excited that this new site is going live."
The new site is being hosted and powered by eSolution Architects and their product SIDHelp.
SIDHelp is a content management and web development system built specifically for college athletic departments. The SIDHelp network currently includes more than 25 conference/league sites and more than 50 institutional sites.
"Working with the Marian University Athletic Department to get this Web site launched was great," said eSolution Architect Vice President of Commercial Development and SIDHelp creator Greg Black. "The launch of the new web site for Marian University will take the program to a new level in the MCC and MSFA and give them an upper hand in recruiting and releasing information out to the public."
Marian University currently fields 17 varsity teams within the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is a member of the Mid-Central College Conference (MCC) and Mid-States Football Association Mideast League (MSFA). Marian University also sponsors the 11-time USA Cycling Collegiate Track National Champion cycling team, the USBC-sanctioned men's and women's bowling teams, and the Marian University Dance team and Cheerleaders. The new Web site will serve as official home for all Marian University athletics events.
